Creative Schools Cluster: Create, Aspire, Transform Sharing Session

A Creative Schools Cluster sharing session for teachers and colleagues to come and see the Create, Aspire, Transform Programme Sense of Place exhibition, featuring artwork created by pupils from Tweedmouth Middle School, St Cuthbert’s First School, Holy Trinity First School and Spittal First School.

356 pupils worked with their chosen artists: Nicola Lynch, Louise Bradley, Paul Merrick and Graham Patterson, after spending time researching their localities, collecting information, exploring techniques and visiting galleries before creating their final work for the joint exhibition.

The session will be an opportunity to find out more about the creative activity that has taken place in school from the teachers involved and the impact it has had on their pupils and their own professional practice. We will be looking to extend and expand the Create, Aspire, Transform Programme - subject to securing future funding and would encourage interested teachers to attend.

The Create, Aspire, Transform: North Northumberland Schools Cultural Education Leadership Programme is fully funded with support from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Northumberland Arts Development.
Please email Val Tobiass, Learning and Engagement Co-ordinator to reserve a place at the session.
