Creative Schools Cluster Meeting: Spring 2018

The Spring Creative Schools Cluster Meeting for teachers will be held at The Granary Gallery on Thursday 8 February 2018 from 5-6.30pm. All teachers, colleagues and school governors interested in developing their pupil's cultural education are welcome to attend.
 
During the session Cameron Robertson, co-curator of the new Archive of Smith, Berwick: From Photo-News Service to Photo Centre exhibition will introduce you to the photographic collectionThe exhibition draws on the photographic archive from the Smith family business that ran the Photo Centre on Bridge Street which has created a remarkable record of Berwick and its people. The collection was acquired by Berwick Record Office and Linda Bankier, archivist with Berwick Record Office will talk about using Berwick Archive collections for school projects and introduce a project where your pupils can contribute their own work to Berwick Archives for future generations.
 
The session will also provide an opportunity to meet other teachers and cultural organisations and find out about cultural opportunities for your students. We will also reveal more about the new Berwick Arts Award Discover Trail being developed with Berwick cultural organisations.
