Creative Schools Cluster Meeting: Summer 2018

The Summer Creative Schools Cluster Meeting for teachers will be held at The Granary Gallery on Thursday 7 June 2018 from 5-6.30pm. All teachers, colleagues and school governors interested in developing their pupil's cultural education are welcome to attend.
James Lowther, Head of Berwick Visual Arts will give a short tour of the new summer exhibition Spirited - Women Artists from The Ingram Collection of Modern Art, the exhibition includes works from a number of key British women artists from the past one hundred years including Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Elisabeth Frink, Barbara Hepworth, Laura Knight, Winifred Nicholson and Bridget Riley. The session is also an opportunity to meet other teachers and cultural organisations to find out about arts opportunities for your students, including the new Create, Aspire, Transform: North Northumberland Schools Cultural Education Leadership Programme which has started this term. Supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, this is a two year programme working with two North Northumberland schools this term and looking to engage two more schools for the second stage of the programme starting in September.
