Refreshing Creative Energy: Creative Schools Cluster Session

Refreshing Creative Energy is a fun, teacher CPD workshop which will be led by undergraduate fine art students from Northumbria University working with their lecturer Dr Judy Thomas. Come join us for this special Creative Schools Cluster session aimed at teachers, teaching assistants and school colleagues on Thursday 30 January, 5-6.45pm in the Henry Travers Studio at The Maltings, Berwick.

It will be the final activity of the Create, Aspire, Transform programme. The students have organised a range of simple and accessible creative techniques for you to try out during the session, which you can then use back in the classroom with your pupils. By the end of the workshop you will:

• Have worked individually and collaboratively to explore different processes for mark-making;
• Feel more comfortable with drawing processes;
• Investigate other artists who explore ideas through drawing;
• Consider new strategies to embed creative skills into work back at school.

We would like to encourage teaching assistants as well as teachers to attend. Refreshments will be available at the session, please email Val Tobiass, Learning and Engagement Coordinator, to reserve your place.
